After work laps are always the best.  After I made it through the first ledge I quickly turned around to see Matt upside down to busting a roll at the top of it. we ran two laps with Kurt running our shuttle.  That was probably the scariest part of the whole evening, we rode on the back of my tailgate, and that will be the last time I do that.

Lower Icicle/ Upper 6,800 cfs , Joe, Brad, Dave, Adrian

After the race a crew of us went up to do the upper.  After a swim at roadside for a fellow tagging along we were one less person.   Then when we got to Ricochete I went first through the fist part the caught the eddy above the second part.  Brad first, Joe second, and Adrian last.  Brad came through fine, Joe got endered half way down and started missing rolls and eventually swimming into the eddy on the left.  Meanwhile Adrian is swimming through the first part and through Ricochete rock and down through Son Of Richocette.  I have never been so scared for a fellow kayaker swimming a rapid.  Very happy to see him walk away with only a few bumps and bruises.  Oh, and did I mention he held onto his paddle for the entire quarter mile of stout class V boulder gardens.

Early morning lap before a raft trip, started it off with a couple laps off box drop.  I was following
Brett through Paranoia and as I came through the entry he was sideways and not moving. So i had to head left and ended up spinning out in the eddy and going over backward.  As i landed my shoulder popped out and I couldn't get it in right away so I pulled and tried to stay in my boat but it was not flushing.  So I got out of the boat and went deep and stayed there.  After a couple seconds I had to ball up, which worked flawlessly by the way.  My boat flushed to the right bank where I was at and after a quick rest we finished the run.

Boulderdash.  Andy went down the left and went well for him.  I went down the center, which I ended up landing  on a rock and jacking my back up.  At Chute To Kill everyone got out to scout on the left.  I felt like I got a good enough look at the line from  the road so I just went for it.  I caught the eddy on the left after the first move, then made my ferry across.  It shoved me right up against the sieve, then down the drop I went hitting my elbow super hard on the way down.  rolled up and cruised through the second hole.  Had a lot of fun on the rest of the run, with enough rapids to keep me happy.  Soon we reached the Killer Fang section, it started off a little slow, but once it reached some good rapids with huge boofs scattered around we were all happy.  We started  our portage once we reached the Fang.  After portaging  the boats we climbed up on a rock to scout the sieve.  To my surprise the rapid actually looked pretty good.  the sieve was still there, but it was under water. If we had not already portaged the boats I would have run it.  We ran the next drop on the left, then cut back through to the center.

Another one of the runs I always heard about, but due to tight levels and the snow issues it was until now just a fairy tale.  We made it almost to put in before hitting snow, then we hiked up the road a couple hundred yards before starting our scramble through the woods.  after five minutes we reached the beautiful river.  It started off with easy class 3 then shortly turned into class V continuous boulder gardens that didn't let up for a couple miles.

Day before the creeking comp, and it's time to practice in the demo boat I picked up from Next.  Did one lap in the Remix 79 all the way down to horseshoe, and another lap just down to Larry's.  Then I got a call from Next that said they needed the boat back to give to another person who reserved the boat for the weekend.  Bullshit! when I called a couple weeks ago to reserve the boat for the weekend their reply was, "we do not reserve demo boats." Fuck you Next Adventure!!! I got a Nomad from Alder Creek, and beat your piece of shit boat in the race, so SUCK IT!!!

It's hard to write much on a section I've done so much, but I did use a Remix on the first lap, and a stomper for the second.  So I should have some words to write.  The remix was nice in the flat as well as the rapids.  The stomper is ridiculous, paddling it makes me happy to know that I have one on the way.  Abe, Luke, and Johnny joined Scott and I for a second.

We put in above the bridge to get some nice class 3 warm up.  Some wood but all avoidable.  Once we reached the beginning of the boulder garden we got out to scout the first half mile or so.  By the time we reached Shroom Tripper I could see the motivation to paddle disappear from everyone's face.  Micheal Gave it quite a bit a consideration, and toward the end I thought he was going to charge.  Well at the end of it all everyone had decided to hike out, and I wasn't about to go charge down by myself.  So I joined my buddies for a pretty easy hike  to the road.

Panther creek 24"  Chris, Logan, Tony

First time on Panther creek, I instantly noticed the beauty surrounding me.  Then the rapid began to stack up.  Pretty much seemed like one continuous rapid, with eddy's to catch every once in a while.  No portages all the way down too the falls.  Which was not looking too friendly today.  We chilled in the hot springs for a while before we continued down to the truck.  Feel like the creek could be really good at higher flows.

Trestle wave 13,700 cfs  Logan and Paul

Always a great day when your at the Trestle wave, it was a little on the low side making the surfer left  side hard to get to, and surging in and out.  The surfer right was great, not as steep as the right, but more consistent, and easy to get to.  we had a long day until we were all burnt out.  Then we floated down to the boat launch on the right for an easy take out.

We tried to make it to Stebbins creek ,but when we got to take out we didn't have a third vehicle to run shuttle with so we went to Hagen instead.  Was on the lower side for what I've normally run it at, but was still great.  A few of us routed down the run  without getting out.  as I landed the first slide on Euphoria I saw a boat in the left eddy above the last drop.  we waited for it to come out and paddled it to the side.  A few of us routed Teakettle, which was a blast.  The crack was pretty friendly today, after running it there began to be a crowd of us standing on the right acting as the peanut gallery for the ones behind us.  sitting in the sun chillin, happy birthday Luke!

Canyon creek 5" above unit  Logan, Chase, Chris, Neko, John, Kristan, Abe

The gorge was flushed out, signaling that the rest of the run would be stompin.  After running Terminator I hopped out on the right to set safety.  which was a good call because Kristan took a hole  ride and swam.  I was able to throw bag here to the right side.  her boat went down so we had to get her across above the next drop which was more difficult than expected.  Thrasher was Sick, the top of the rock was covered enough to boof over the top of.  Hurt my shoulder at Kahuna, and had to take a break in the eddy in order to make it the rest of the run.

March 28, 2012
Eagle creek  Chris, Chase, John, Logan

After a grueling hike we finally arrived at our destination. Which in this case was a mix between Punchbowl and Metlako.  As for Logan and I we decided to save our selves for Metlako.  Due to all the reviews I'd heard of Punchbowl it wasn't a hard decision to put in below it.  After watching Chris, Chase, and John fire up Punchbowl I was so ready to get down to the big one.  Arriving in the pool above Metlako I decided that I could only run it blind once so scouting was an option that was not in my plan.  Logan liked my plan and he decided to run it blind too.  Chase went first, chucked his paddle for a great landing, but was not so fortunate with his hand roll.  My turn now,  as I broke away from the lip I felt my boat balance out at a great angle, I chucked my paddle and tucked as tight as I could.  As I was re-surfacing I was able to use my momentum to hand roll for a right side up re-surface.Soo dope!!!   After retreiving my paddle I waited for Logan to come over.  He also chucked his paddle with a perfect landing.  Unfourtunatly he was counting on me to help him roll back up, but he was flushed right of the boil and I was downstream, and unable to reach him in time.  Now John comes flying over with a good line but held on to his paddle which broke on impact, forcing him to pull.  All said and done a full day of winning all around.

March 26, 2012
Farmlands / Middle 3.7ft.  Joni, Logan, Andy

Joni and I went for a run down the middle checking out the wood situation, and the verdict is there is lot's of wood but all is avoidable.  Think there is some work going into cleaning the wood out.  After the middle I met up with the boy's for a run down the farmlands.  After a few minutes we encountered a river wide strainer that is able to be snuck on the far left.  Soon after passing Little Lava there is a river wide log that must be portaged on the right.  About fifteen feet above Lava you must get out and hop over a log. then you can choose to run it, which Logan and I opted to do.  Both making it through without issue.  The rest of the run is fine, with wood lining the banks.  Just above the take out you start boating through an enchanted forest of fallen tree's.  Scout from the bridge to see the upstream drop, which must be run on the far left to avoid the tree in the middle.

March 25, 2012
Summit creek  Fish, Ellie, Brett, Jed, Scotty, Logan, Luke, Barney

Originally we were planning on running the lower, but due to greed we were fired up to link the upper and lower. We arrived at the creek after a twenty minute hike.  Instantly we were confronted with a 20 foot slide that ran into a log strainer.  Scotty was going to eddy out at the lip and possibly portage left, but instead he stopped backward at the lip clinging to a rock and was able to spin around it then launch off the lip with a clean line, but was instantly shoved into a log, but was able to work out of it.  We all portaged that one, put in just below and was confronted with another slide with a root ball in the center of the run out.   we were able to run that one but were instantly confronted again with three more portages.  That put us into a position to make the decision to hike out.

Race day 5.7ft

After about five minutes into the race I was quickly hit with the realization that I'd been sitting on a couch for two weeks and was not in any condition to race, but the show must go on, and I just pushed through.  The length of the race was a real test of stamina, which I was missing due to the couch living that I was used too.  There will always be more races, but the 6th place that I took was good enough to make me happy with myself, and for me that's all that counts.  Plus the start was so much fun, and the fun continued throughout the race.

Well after two weeks of sitting on my buddies couch with strep throat it is time to get back in the game.  I picked up a large Shiva from the Kayak shed, and made a rally out to the wind for some practice laps.  By the time I finished my second lap I realized that I didn't know the run at all, but there was a race to be had in the morning so I had to just deal.

On the first lap I took my All Star.  Couple of good surf spots before the gorge, but not too many afterwards.  The center line at prelude went well in the playboat.  The whole run went great. until after Toby's, when I discovered a ten inch crack in the stern...that was a fun paddle out.  The second lap Andy let me use his Villain S.  No control with a boat without any edges.  Very dramatic difference in handling of course, but the paddle out was much nicer.

Starting off the day with snow on the way to put in.  Slowly
turning into clear blue skies by the time we arrived.  We put in at the gravel pit which ended up alright, but due to the lower flows I will probably put in at the normal spot next time.  When we reached the entrance to the gorge I got out on river right to shoot John going through.  I went far left off the curl which worked out well at this flow.  After scouting the Boiler room I went first and then set safety on river left.  Good thing because John got stopped in the hole and I had to pull him out with the rope.  Let the record show that I did pull him out while he was still right side up, and kind of in control.

All around a great day of winning in the canyon.  The gnomes were out in force today, as well as the sunshine that would peak out every so often.   The first lap was a lot of cruisin.' We removed a log that had gotten wedged in the slot at sunshine.  Good to see that nothing had changed, with the exception of a couple chunks of wood.  Conversation was speaking loudly today.  Both the holes near the bottom were stompin'.
Scott, Dan, and I did two laps.   The Shiva is a pretty righteous boat definatly enjoy the way it paddles. It boofs like a pyrahna.

First time on the green, and I love it.  Probably not the typical experiance down this section.  However,  that doesn't take away from the fact that this run was badass.  Even though I was is my playboat  the run was still sick..  Although I think the next tiime I do this section this high I will bring my creek boat for the simple fact of being able to boof the monster pourovers.  Lot's of big holes, waves, and a few epic surf waves thrown in.  Winning.

T 1 went well down the middle line.  We "blue angeled" T2 and sunshine.  What a blast! it's much funner to bomb this run rather than taking your time.  Went center at Landslide for my fist flip through there.  Rolled back up in time to finish the move, and was able to finish the rest with a clean line.  Finally nutted up and ran Granite Falls,  F*ckin stout!  The entry was super steep and technical, with the line over the drop either being right for a sick ride down the boil.  Or anywhere else which is broken legs from a piton for sure.  Then a serious slide right after with a couple of ledges below that.  Luckily I took the first option,  Riding the boil down with a drawn out boof stroke toCRUSHIN that shit.  Robe is my bitch!

One of those days were mother nature reminds you how beautiful, and glorious she is.  We took our time and stopped to take pictures in a few spots.  Had a little stern squirt action at the entrance to Landslide that was fun.  caught the eddy for a few, and the second part is getting a lot more comfortable.  Everyone took the Be-Rad line at garbage way better.  stopped in the sun for some RnR.  And had a great paddle out.  hopefully levels hang in for tomorrow!

After some grub we met up with Brad for a warm up lap.  The left line at T1 had just enough water to sneak through. After I went over Sunshine I turned around in the eddy to see Matt crushin' it. The level was much better today, and I could instantly tell by the grins on their faces that they thought so as well.  As I came over the boil move at Landslide it grabbed my stern and sent me into an instant stern stall.  I quickly stomped the nose back down in time to make it over the next holes.  I worked further left for the boof so that I would have more right momentum coming through the exit. It worked out well and I think I will stay on that line.

After looking at the falls for a while Matt and John showed up and we didn't waste any time getting to the river.  It was super low, but still enough water to make it fun.  John and I ran T1 down the center, and to my suprise it was very easy in comparison to normal flows.  Faceplant was a little manky at this flow as well as garbage.  The entrance to landslide was still stout as usual, but the second move was quite a bit easier.  After getting some Eats and beer in town we headed up past put in camped out with a nice fire and lot's of rain to give us hope for tomorrows run.

Robe canyon 5.4 ft  John, Joe, Brett, Rob, Sam, JP, Dave, Brad X.

An extended safety meeting in the van on the way to put in made me forget my spray skirt at the alpaca ranch.  So Rob and I played catch up until Sunshine before reaching everyone else.  For sure a much less eventful day compared to yesterday.  I climbed out on river left to scout landslide and like usual Rob comes blasting through before I can get established.  He entered the first move and went way left which worked out great.  Then he cruised through like a champ trying the left side boof on entry to the second part, and doin' it right.  I went further right than Rob riding the right boil down.  Then I came through a little center because the reactionary didn't float me left as usual.  But it worked out fine and I was able to get the boof and cruise through the lower pinch.  A couple of us tried Brad's new  line through garbage and it was sweet.  It's comparable in difficulty to the left line just a little cleaner.

Robe canyon 5.7 ft  John, Brett, Sam, JP, Dan, Dave, Joe, Todd, Brenden, Ben, Life, Brad X and a few more

Brett and I were playing catch up until I  came over T2, and saw boats in the eddy above sunset.  Just as I reached the bottom of hotel I turned to watch the next boat come down.  Dude went right down the middle with a stompin boof stroke and still got pumbled then Todd took the same center line crushing the boof only to get trashed now with two boats in the hole.  Then there were three,  Ben came through the center boofing right into the other two boats.  Suprisingley he knocked both of them out of the hole himself included. Now no more then ten seconds after they got out of the hole I see a paddle and boat floating down, and no sign of anybody.  I guess he had got worked in the ledge above the entry to hotel. Well, now it was Dave's turn to get pounded in the same hole.  he held on for a wild ride until his skirt imploded flushing him out of the hole.  So the carnage was over for now,  Then Brenden ran landslide without any magor issues,  he said he flipped on the entry but was able to roll back up quickly and charge down the rest with some style.  Now back to the carnage, Dude went into Off Broadway, and just got pounded on for a few seconds before he pulled.  A big scary hole to be in, and was a good decision to pull quick in there.  I'll rap this up with one more swim at Ms. Robinson's hole.  I never thought I would see that bad of a wirkin' in that hole but i know now it's possible

Skykomish 3,000 cfs  Dave, Sam, Leif

I wen't up to boulder drop to do a couple laps, and as I was walking down to launch I saw Dave Sam and Leif.  So I tagged along with them.  I took Ned's which was a sick boof at this level.  Then we got down to lunch hole, and Sam went first to take his beating, then I took my Beatdown, Then Dave came down to get his.  All three of us made it out, but not before a thunderous beatdown.

Robe canyon 5.3 ft Michal, John, Brett, Sam, Rob, Brad, Owen, Dan

Well to start off the day Rob got stuck in T1, two bags missed and I couldn't wait any longer so I scraped down the left line only to see that he was clawing onto the right wall in a pocket.  I paddled over to him and he grabbed the back of my boat and I barely pulled him out of the hole and to a piece of wood stuck on the right wall.  Then it was a chase for his boat.  John and I chased it all the way down to the top of  Hotel California before we were able to get it ashore.  Short story long, The boat had three new cracks forcing him to hike out.  Two more swims throughout the day that were pretty minor in comparison to the days earlier event.  Landslide went well for me, the level is just about right for a somewhat calmer ride through there.

Robe canyon 5.4 ft  Chris, Scott, Brett, Ellie, Brad, Joe, John, JP

great day to be on the river warm in the sun, and freezing in the shade.  The water is just at the cusp of being able to run left at T1, Sunshine was nice to everyone.   Decided to try the center line at the bottom of catchers mitt.  It rewarded me with a nice ten second hole lickin' before letting me go.  then as I looked upstream I saw someones boat cartwheeling in the upper hole.  There is a tree in the right slot

Robe canyon 5.6 ft Brett, Chris Totten

The branch at the bottom of T1 has moved to the center of T2, but is not in play.
Sunshine is at a perfect level, making it an easier move to make.  Everything else is clean the log at the bottom of landslide is gone as well as the one at 20 footer. Garbage has changed for the worse.  The boof rock down the slot has rolled making it hard not to piton on rocks.

Robe canyon 5.4 ft  Brett, Scott, Ellie, Brad, Jo, Rob, Darren, Sam, Jp

Pretty big crew rallying today.  The left line at T1 was still in today so that's a nice start to the trip.  All  good lines at sunshine, as well as the rest of the drops.  20 footer is money down the middle, it's nice to be able to run that line.  Sam and Ellie swapped some plastic in Off Broadway.  so much winning happening today.  The Robe gnomes were kind today.

Robe canyon 5.8 ft  Fish

To start off the winning Brett forgot his shoes at his house so Scott and I charged down without.  As I  crested over T1 a branch caught my attention off to the right but was not really in play.  When I I approached last sunshine Scott was bottoms up which didn't inspire alot of hope, but  I got lucky and hit it just right .  Don't remember catching any eddy's On the way down. just lot;s of winning.  Our longest delay was gawking at landslide trying to see any possible lines through the stout's and away from the sieve's.  Conversation at this level is the funnest rapid on the river.  A stout hole has formed in  the last couple moths on the right side of the island.  Making for a sick boof  with zero forgiveness.  On the river by 230 off by 430,  Church !!!

Robe canyon 5.3 ft

By the time we reached put in there were twelve of us, with one first timer.  T 1 put on a show for us and some tourists on the trail.  Joe was the victim and I would say that he did better than his boat which Myself and Rob chased through last sunshine before it got stuck on a rock.  It was all crunched front and rear.  With a nice crack or two in the bow.  He still continued down like a champ!  When we got to Landslide I pulled up to scout on the left, and before I could even think about a line Rob comes bouncing through like his shit don't stink, and greases it.  So It was me next followed by Scott.  Which convinced Ben to run it.  We were all smiles at the bottom.

Fools canyon  Brett

When we got to put in i realized this was either gonna be an easy fun day or a really long day through a forest of alder trees.  Quickly after putting on the fun began with very quality rapids with cool currents due to the very narrow canyon making it impossible to portage most drops.  The canyon ends quickly then take out by a rope swing to hike ten minutes up an old  road to the main road.the pond is at take out.

The goods at take out

December 31, 2011
Sitkum 2,000cfs Brett, John, Dave

Scouting goods on the way to put in. too low but there is always another day for that.  The put is as quality as it comes.  Easy hike sweet drops and amazing surroundings.  Not a huge number of rapids on this run, but very unique and fun features.  Found a chainsaw at the end of the last gorge on the upper.  I had carried it for a mile or so on the front of my boat before sadly dropping it through a little rapid.

Metheny 13,000cfs  Brett, JP, Dave

Starting out with a side creek to reach the main run we banged our way down dodging rocks and logs if possible.  After we reached the main  there was enough water to not hit rocks in the rapids, but in the flat it was a little low. Great rapids seperated by scenic flat water and old shredded culverts in the river.  Even saw a bridge in the water.  somehow placed in the river sideways from tumbling down the hill. After we set up camp and had a fire to keep our spirits high.

Top Tye, Foss, Skykomish 24,000cfs Brett, Christan, Dave, Dan

First time on the Tye and its Juicin very pushy with big holes and continuous nature.  We portaged paranoia due to the high flows.  When we got to the take out everyone agreed that it was the highest they had ever seen it, which made me happy that we were all at the bottom laughing about it.  As soon as they got back from shuttle we made a V line toward the Foss.  On the drive up the road I could tell that it was going to be continuous, pushy, and fun.  After a shorts hike through the woods we all launched into one the best two mile boulder garden around.  The water was very high which made it easy to choose lines quickly, and created a lot of sticky pour over boofs.  Since we had already completed the Top Tye and the Foss at stupid high flows.  The only smart thing to do was to go run the Skykomish at flood.  After about  two minutes down the North fork Dave went into a monster hole and surfed for a while before heading down.  20 foot waves and house size hole remind you that you're paddling 24k cfs.  The wave at the bottom of boulder drop hit Christan and I like a sack of shit.  the rest is a beautiful movie that keeps playing in my head.

                                        Fish

Much cleaner than yesterday all the rocks are covered and not scraping down all the drops.  Totten had a sweet hole ride in T1, making the line a little more intimidating   When we arrived at landslide I found myself catching the eddy on the left to scout.  After about a minute of scouting we had planned our lines.  Scott went first giving me an opportunity to take a couple of shots.  Then it was my turn. Oh shit! scary place to be,but a manageable line.

Robe canyon 5.0 ft Fish and Ellie

Best present of the year. fireball, good company, and robe came in.  The level may not have been perfect, but We were on the river.    As we approached the normal portage Scott mentioned that it would be a good level to run Landslide. So I climbed up the left bank and scouted out the possible lines.  Quickly seeing the only option. it was manageable but consequential.  We both were very happy to be at the bottom of that one. We shared a laugh and a high five below. Soon stopping on the bank for some refreshments and such. Merry Christmas to everyone.

After yesterday I'm surprised to be back on the river, But i just can't help myself.  Had a good enough view of the cave yesterday so it was a relief to get past it.  I encountered the crew in front of us only to here a story of  how  dude just spent the scariest two minutes of his life inside the cave.  I was glad to see him in his boat.  Smooth run all around for our crew.  Who decided to continue down to Husam.

By the time I reached put it ice was forming on my wet gear.  Not s huge motivator to put on the river, but it will take more than a little ice to stop us from running the river.
After reaching take out we were surprised to see Willie in the parking lot waiting for a sucker to join him on his second lap.  Well I was that guy.  We didn't get on  the river till' 330, which left us with an hour of light  we were making good time until we stopped in the secret cave. We stayed in there for a good ten minutes or so before heading down.  We shortly realized that it was getting dark quick. by the time we reached BZ it was pretty dark. but that was all the more reason to just go for it.

Indian beach 5 ft at 18 seconds

Was the first time in a surf boat , used a Fluid Element and it was pretty sweet.  Definitely a much better choice than the usual All star,  though the All star is the best play boat on the river.  Shortly after the first wave caught I knew this was gonna be a great day, and that it was.  Carving through the wave with tremendous speed, Great feeling.  Was even blessed to catch my first barrel.  Watched the sun disappear over the ocean, just before the trip back to the big city!

Good lines at big bro for most.  I boofed into the cave only to find a 5 gallon oil drum.  double drop handed out a beatin' to a couple of victims.  Dude scraped his nose going through double drop. Also had another dude swim through lower zig zag.  Lots of takers at BZ, and no beatings handed out.  it was all smiles in the eddy below.

Nice to see the water at a different level.  definitely noticed the water difference,   It's much easier to make it down without bouncing off rocks.  Not to mention all the lines are cleaner.

Did a warm up lap on the sky in the playboats.  boulder drop was super fun, it had been a while since being on this section.  Afterwards we ran the foss.  due to the snow we slid our boats down the hill to put in.  once on the  river it starts quickly with class IV and doesn't stop till you reach the bottom. one of the best class IV boulder garden creeks iv'e run in a long time.

Robe Canyon 5.7ft  Brett, Chris, Fish, Life, Jamie, Christan

Been waiting a while to get on this run, and it was nothing short of amazing.  From the pushy brown water and big holes to amazing granite walls crumbling into the river to form epic boulder gardens.  This run is one to be put on the top of the list as a must do class V river.  Once you reach T1 the action doesn't stop for at least a couple miles.  Awesome day  with good people, can't wait to be back on this section.

Stoked to try this boat on the truss.  at big bro i barely pulled a boof stroke and i damn near landed flat.  it shined through upper zig zag, sitting on top of the boils made it easy to ferry across boils.

Opal creek 900cfs  Logan, Andy, Matt.

it didn't water was on the lower end but was still fun. had a good line off big fluffy, was stoked.  Afterwards we drove down the road to run salmon falls.  i wen't to the left side to scout the slot.  it looked nasty, and it was proven when the first two guys flipped   through the slot nearly runnung the falls upside down. my plan was a little different.  I caught the eddy just above the slot, turned around and had a great line through the slot which set me up for a nice line off the falls.

Been a while since  iv'e been surfing and not a better wave to get back into it.  It was on the lower end of the waves. making the double feature.  the pit was a little trashy, but the outside shoulder was sublime.

Goerge and I tryed to sneak around the gravel road by cutting through the parking lot, but our plan was stopped by two flat tires as we tried to squeeze through some logs. luckily we had two suburu's with spare tires.  we finaly got on the river.  we scraped down the river and ran multiple laps on the falls.  we passed the hot springs due to people making some stew.

The river was a little low, but since I was already there why not.  the left line over sunset was pretty much the only option.  there is new wood in the entrance to screaming left on the right above the main move.  it's pretty much out of play unless you wan't to catch the eddy on the right.

Had great lines off everything, despite having to empty my boat quite a bit.  Had the pleasure of watching Andy run Bz for the first time.  He went far left, rode  the pillow down and as soon as he landed his stern shot out.  he almost styled the shit out of it.  Great line for a  P.F.D.

Jen at the top of lil' bro

Willie happy with his big bro line
