PNW

Heaven on Earth

It's hard to say which is the best run, I don't think I have one single run that I think is the best.  I do however have a few favorite runs in mind.  Such as Top Tye, Robe Canyon, Icicle Creek, and a few more top hopeful's.  As I made my way from the Robe race to the Wenatchee I made a couple stops on the way to bring me back to reality.  One of those stops turned out top be the Tye river, Which never disappoint's.

Top Tye

Brett and I stopped on our way over to Levenworth for some Laps on the Tye.  Here is a couple pics from our evening run.

Brett launching his way off Box drop, one of the funnest drops I have had the pleasure sailing over.

Icicle

Now we move on to some of the hardest and steepest boulder gardens in the state. Due to the fact this run is roadside doesn't take away from this creeks amazing scenery and challenging whitewater.

Collawash into Killer Fang

I have been wanting to get on the NF Clack for quite some time now.  After hiking to the mouth of the NF it was obvious that it was too low.  Thankfully we live in the PNW and there are amazing runs all over the place.  So we drove up the road another half hour to the Collawash, annd the rest is history.

Couldn't ask for an easier put in than this

Chute To Kill

Killer Fang from the portage

Joel and I had a great line through this drop on the far, far right

Willy is taking it all in... King of the rock

One day this wood will be gone...  I hope

Robe Race 2012

The Gnomes are very kind to us this year and have blessed us in more ways than one.  An amazing crew of friends, with blue sky and perfect flows, today Robe was a slice of heaven on earth.  Nine teams, two Robes, and one garden gnome, church is in session!   Not a shortage of competition this year including Fred Norquist, Darren Albright, Lane Jacobs, Isaac Levinson, and many more.  Also some hometown favorites that devote themselves to spend more time in this spectacular canyon than in the "real world".  Big thanks to Todd Gillman for being such a rad dude.
